The present study suggests modifications that could be adopted in the lymphocyte culturing technique for the study of sheep chromosomes. Whole blood culturing instead of adding serum/plasma from extraneous source can stimulate cell growth, while reducing risk of contamination apart from reducing cost and time factor involved. Use of sodium hydroxide instead of sodium bicarbonate in the media can maintain its pH without much variation.
