Abstract

Twenty-four Sirohi lactating does grazing on available rangeland were divided into four groups and supplemented with 0, 150, 300 and 450 g/head/day concentrate mixture from 1st to 150th day of lactation. Blood metabolites and the mineral profiles were studied. Blood glucose, total protein, albumin, globulin and blood urea nitrogen levels increased with the increasing levels of concentrate supplementation. Co, Mo, Cu, Zn, and Fe levels in the blood also improved with the improving levels of nutrition.
