Abstract

The trends of goat population and their growth were studied in 5 districts of Agra division (U.P.). For studying growth rate, potential type of model was found best fit. The division enjoyed a significantly higher percentage of cumulative growth (262.53%) of goat population in comparison to that of overall growth (64,74%) of whole U.P. District Aligarh enjoyed a higher annual growth than other districts of the division. A high degree of correlation between goat population and natural resource parameters of the region was observed.
