Abstract

The correlation coefficient between gestational length and tbe weight of the ewe at the time of service was positive and significant in Deccani, whereas it was non-significant in Dorset halfbreds, Merino halfbreds and their interbreds. Duncan's Multiple Range Test in Deccani sheep revealed that, the ewes above 35 kg weight group had significantly longer gestational length, whereas, it was shorter for the weight group between 26 to 30 kg.
