Abstract

Milk yield of 50 Malpura ewes was assesed in the present study. The overall least-squares means of daily milk yield and average daily gain (independent of genetic group of lamb, parity and lactation week) were 418.59±4.54 and 144.59±2.59 g, respectively. All the factors (viz. genetic group of lamb, parity and week of lactation) included in the study had significant effect (P≤0.01) on milk yield and average daily gain. Maximum milk yield (449 g) was observed in ewes belonging to third parity. Similarly, highest milk yield (616 g) was observed during third week of lactation.
