The haematological and biochemical parameters were observed in two groups (either with (group I) or without (group II) transinoculation of goat rumen liquor) of sheep fed on subabul (Leucaena leucocephala) leaves as a supplement feed. The parameters i.e. the RBC, the WBC and PCV values were found significantly (P<0.05) low on 28th day compared to 0 day in group II animals. The values for the RBC count (106/mm3) were 8.80±0.12 and 7.80±0.52, for the WBC count(103/mm3) 8.40±0.31 and 6.50±0.48 and PCV% 34.0±1.2 and 27.0±1.5 on 0 day and 28th day of experiment respectively. Whereas in group I animals, there was no significant change observed in these parameters. However, Hb % and serum biochemical parameters i.e. total protein, albumin, total globulin, antitrypsin, alkaline phosphatase and glutamate pyruvate transaminase activities levels were not changed significantly between the days of experiment in both the groups.
