The relationship of the long-term variation of the cosmic ray intensity with sunspot number (Rz) has been investigated for the solar cycle 21 to 23 by using their monthly average. Negative and high correlations are found for most of the years. Poor correlations are observed during the high and low solar activity years. Cosmic rays are also found to be negatively correlated with geomagnetic activity.
