Abstract

In Data Envelopment Analysis the utility of cross efficiencies is often neglected. The cross efficiencies matrix of DMUs can be easily constructed solving the virtual input-output linear programming problems. In this paper the importance of cross efficiencies is emphasized to rank the efficient units and to control input- output weights in DEA. The performance of Electrical, Electronics and machinery and Machine parts industries of some selected Indian states is assessed.
