Quality improvement methods can be applied to any area within a company or organization, including manufacturing, process development, engineering design. This article introduces control charts for quality control of product characteristic as per Taguchi Philosophy. Three control chart procedures based on modified EWMA statistic are given which help controlling process variable as per nominal the best, larger the better and smaller the better product specifications. Illustration is given.
