In this study, a Parametric Empirical Bayesian (PEB): Normal-Normal model was considered in estimating the mean age and weekly allowance of undergraduate students at University of Lagos (UNILAG) main campus. The results of the surveys conducted in 2007 showed that the estimated overall mean age of undergraduate students sampled on UNILAG main campus is 24.3 years with mean weekly allowance of N2594.39. Statistically, a comparison of the estimated sample variances and the posterior variances showed that the posterior variances were smaller than the sample variances. Hence, it brings into view the efficiency and benefits of using empirical Bayes procedure.
