The present research indicates how ageing and transforming into single life is rising in Iran. To conduct the research, Tehran City was chosen as the universe of study. Because of increase in life expectancy in Iran in recent years-- 76 years for women and 72 years for men, women are very likely to lose spouse, and remain widows for years under the shortage of adequate infrastructures. Such changes lead to demographic disasters within these ageing people. Shortage of social security and pensions at third age is transformed into increasing challenges and issues especially after the loss of a spouse. Similarly, investigated, social relations are impaired too at this age. However, loss of interactions within these ageing people become disasterous and demoralizing. Similarly, many such people feel poor in this stage/sphere of life. Such ageing people need further supports and services, and also effective projections for the years to come. As found out, and based on the hypothesis: "women are more vulnerable than men due to the impact of the death of one's spouse", disasters start appearing singly. In the present survey 584 lonely and ageing people were examined.
