Abstract

Human rights are the basic rights available to everyone across the world irrespective of the fact they are citizen or non citizen in any country for the matter. However, the State by not fulfilling the basic objectives and the requirements of the human rights is violating the same. This is very evident in respect of the women and women prisoners. Despite many committee reports followed by various enactment since the British Raj administration and till today the violation of human rights of the women prisoners are still unabated. The only relief is the direction given and compensation awarded by the Human rights commission both at the Central and State level in India. As the Constitution of India provided for the Judicial review the Judiciary is also taken the cognizance of human rights violations and given the decision infavor of the victims.
