In this study, four designs i.e. single array, L shape, U shape and modified U shape of millimeter wave (mm-wave) array antenna have been compared. There are two identical sub arrays having four patches on each array in L shape antenna, there are three identical sub arrays with four patch on each array in U shape antenna and there are eight patches on the middle array whereas four patches on other two arrays arranged along the edges of mobile phone PCB. All have been designed by NeltecNY9220 material with dielectric constant (£r) 2.2 and loss tangent (tanδ) 0.0009. Former two has a subarrays of size 48×12×0.787 mm3 and the latter has same array size on the edges of mobile phone and in the middle antenna has array of size 96×12×0.787mm3. Designs proposed in this manuscript are operating at a frequency of 21.5 GHz each array having patch of size 4.32 × 2 mm2. These designs improve the return loss (S11) and other parameters. Coaxial technique is used for feeding. For simulation of these designs HFSS v11.0 is used.
