Vehicular Ad-hoc Network has gained attention from researchers and has given a futuristic scope to the automobile industry thereby giving a head way in Intelligent Transport System (ITS). With the implementation of ITS a number of serious problems faced in the transportation system can be handled in a better way. Routing is a key challenge in implementation of VANETs in real scenarios. So, in the paper the main focus is to generate the realistic traffic model using SUMO and NS-2 which has been further been used for analysis of the Simulation Area. Simulation on topology- based routing protocol has been initiated thereby analysis has been simulated on different Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). The paper has focused on end to end delivery and overhead incurred in the scenario. End to end delivery of packets is directly and indirectly affected by different KPI such as throughput, PDR, Packet dropping ratio. After analyzing the different types of Topology based Routing Protocols, a conclusion has been withdrawn that Reactive Routing Protocols has highest throughput, highest Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), lowest Packet dropping Ratio and lowest Overhead in comparison to Proactive and Hybrid Routing Protocols.
