Abstract

Solar still is a valuable device that can be used for purifying brackish and salt water for drinking purposes. A lot of work has been done by various researchers to inspect the parameters which affect the efficiency of solar still and thereby to improve its performance. In this review paper different design parameters are reviewed which affects the yield of a solar still. Their views showed that the productivity increases when the area of the absorption is increased. The basin water depth is the main parameter that affects the productivity of the still.
