Isogeometric Free Vibration analysis of Laminated Composite Plates with Stiffener

Abstract

This paper presents the free vibration analysis of laminated composite stiffened plate. Recently developed Isogeometric analysis (IGA) method based on non-uniform rational B-spline basis functions (NURBS) is adopted for interpolation of the geometry as well as the field variables. Relevant formulation and a computer program for the implementation of the same is developed using Semi-Refined higher order shear deformation theory (SR-HSDT7). Some parametric study is carried out to investigate the effect of stiffener on the free vibration by changing the different parameters of plate and the stiffener.
