Abstract

Flocculation is an interesting and unique phenomena observed. Flocculation usually involves the mixing process of a fluid with the flocculating agent under conditions of higher shear in a stirrer tank. It has wide range of applications. Major application in down stream processingis to acquire refined and bioprocessed product. In the current study yeat cells were flocculated in specific culture conditions hence resulted in flocs of Saccharomyces cerevisae (Yeast).
