Study of amniotic membrane transplant in various ocular surface disorders

Abstract

The study of amniotic membrane transplant in various ocular surface disorders and surgical technique used. A prospective study to evaluate the role of Amniotic Membrane Transplantation in Ocular Surface Disorders was carried out in the Department of Ophthalmology at Sri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences, Bareilly, from January 2014 to May 2015 with amniotic membrane obtained from cryopreserved tissue. Complications like recurrence, abcess, sub conjunctival fibrosis and infection were seen in 2 cases each in the first 3 criteria, and in 1 case in the last criteria respectively at post operative week 8. Amniotic membrane transplant in suitable alternative for ocular surface disorders.
