Abstract

In this paper the effect of rapid movement of a heat source inside a twodimensional infinite body is investigated. Non Fourier heat transfer model is employed and the governing equation is solved using finite difference method. The effect of thermal Mach number on temperature distribution is discussed and the results are compared with analytical results reported in references.
