Abstract

Mycoplasma mycoides subsp. mycoides (LC, M-30) antigen could be demonstrated in experimentally infected lamb tissues by IFAT. Antigens were detected, starting from 3 DPI to the end of the experiment i.e. 28 DPI in lungs, bronchial and mediastinal lymph nodes, up to 12 DPI in spleen and liver and at 28 DPI in synovial membrane. IFAT could be a valuable tool for studying the immunopathogenesis of mycoplasmal infection in lambs.
