Abstract

The present study was undertaken to trace the presence of HPS viral particles by transmission electron microscopy at different time intervals of 12, 24, 48, 72, 96 and 120 hours, in vital organs viz., liver, heart, lungs, spleen, thymus and bursa of Fabricius in broiler chicks experimentally induced with HPS. TEM revealed the presence of HPS viral particles in liver and heart, and not in the cells of lungs, spleen, thymus and bursa of Fabricius.
