A six years old female Boxer dog carcass revealed multiple varying sized grayish-white nodules (1 to 2 cm in diameter) on the serosal surface of pancreas and in the liver, spleen, kidneys and mesenteric lymph nodes. Peritoneal cavity contained about 2 litres of serosanguineous fluid. Microscopic examination revealed arboriform and tubulaoalveolar pattern of growths lined by cuboidal cells with thin rim of granular eosinophilic cytoplasm, distinct cell borders, larger vesicular nuclei, nucleoli with occasional mitotic figures. Epithelial type of mesothelioma was observed. This was the only case of mesothelioma observed in 85 necropsies conducted during April 2006 to March 2007.
