Canine cutaneous epidermoid carcinoma: A case report

Abstract

A rare case of canine cutaneous epidermoid carcinoma revealed irregular areas of proliferating neoplastic cells with central areas of necrosis, frequent mitotic figures, invasion of blood vessels and high proliferative indices of Argyrophilc Nucleolar Organizer region (AgNOR), proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and proliferating cell nuclear protein-Ki-67. On perusal of available literature there was no report of cutaneous epidermoid carcinoma in canines.
