Fumonisin B₁ and ochratoxin A induced biochemical changes in young male New Zealand White rabbits

The present study was designed to study the serum biochemical changes induced by Fumonisin B₂ @ 10 ppm and ochratoxin A @ 2 ppm in feed, alone and in combination in male rabbits. A significant decrease in total protein, albumin, globulin and glucose levels and an increase in serum ALP, ALT, AST and LDH levels were recorded in both individual and combination groups. In combination group the effect of these two toxins was additive.
