Abstract

Hepatocellular carcinoma is a malignant tumour arising from hepatic cells and this is a rare occurrence in the birds. In this study, primary tumour was found in the liver, The hepatic parenchyma showed severe distortion by multiple, coalescent, whitish grey variable sized firm nodules. Tumour was found metastasized to right kidney and right lateral lobe of the lung. Histological examination revealed variable sized foci of noncapsulated neoplastic cells throughout the liver. The neoplastic cells with hyperchromatic vesiculated nuclei were frequently arranged into either small pseudoacinar pattern or into chords. The kidney and lungs showed neoplastic cells of similar morphology.
