Abstract

A case of malignant ovarian granulosa cell tumour encountered during necropsy of a guinea fowl is being reported. Grossly the ovary was enlarged appeared nodular, friable and lobulated. Microscopically, the type cells were identified as granulosa cells. The tumour showed a tubular pattern in general but folliculoid pattern in larger masses of cells. The metastasis in the lungs resembled the primary ovarian growth, but had a scanty stroma.
