Abstract

Squamous cell carcinoma of eye in a 20 year old thoroughbred horse was recorded. Grossly, the growth was soft, pinkish in colour and protruding from the inner canthus. The tissue section of the biopsy material revealed infiltrating squamous cell cord-like structures with hyperchromatia and vacuolation. At places tissue section revealed necrosis, haemorrhages and infiltration of mononuclear cells.
