Pathobiology of infectious laryngotracheitis (ILT) virus infection in naturally occurring cases of field outbreaks was carried out. Symptoms manifested by affected birds and the gross lesions from postmortem examination were recorded. The degree of intranuclear inclusion body development and the blood vessel damage were assessed by Phloxine - Tartrazine staining technique, and Gorden-Sweet method for reticulin respectively. Severity of microscopic lesions, level of intranuclear inclusion body development and extent of blood vascular damage were taken into account for the evaluation of pathobiology.
