Occurrence of hepatic cavernous hemangioma in cattle

Abstract

Cavernous hemangioma is a vascular benign neoplastic malformation that can arise anywhere in the body. The present communica-tion describes occurrence of hepatic cavernous hemangioma in cattle from an organized dairy farm in India. A total of 72 formalin-fixed liver samples were analysed for histopathological lesions during one year period. Hepatic cavernous hemangioma was observed in 5 (6.94%) cases co-incidental with other disease conditions in cattle.
