Abstract

Two cases of perianal gland adenoma were recorded in 6–8 years old male dogs. In one case, the growth was located by the side of anal opening, while in other case the growth was seen at the ventral surface of the tail about 4.0 cm. away from the base of the tail. Histomorphological features resembled hepatic lobule (hepatoid appearance) with well differentiated parenchymal cells and intact capsule. Additional features included squamous metaplasia with pearl formation in some of the lobules.
