Abstract

An outbreak of Pox virus infection in pigeons is reported. Dead pigeons brought by owner showed gross and histo-pathological evidence of pox virus infection along with secondary bacterial infection. Pox virus was confirmed by molecular detection method (Polymerase Chain Reaction with P4b gene specific primers).
