A 1.5 year old Marwari mare had complaint of snoring sounds during respiration and facial swelling beneath right eye for the past 3 months. Clinical examination and rhinoscopy revealed, a firm mass partially occluding the meatus. The mass was completely excised under anesthesia. Histologicallythe mass was well-demarcated, moderately cellular, composed of numerous delicate spicules of basophilic mineralised matrix resembling trabeculae of woven bone that were separated by spindle shaped cells arranged in short haphazard streams. Based on the histopathologic features, the mass was diagnosed as a fibrous dysplasia.
