Nephroblastomas, also known as Wilm’s tumor, embryonal nephromas and adenosarcomas is a congenital neoplasm arising from metanephric blastema or its primordium during pre- or post-natal life. A healthy 2 years old cross breed male cattle was slaughtered in Government slaughter house, Aizawl, Mizoram and two white to pinkish small, hard nodular outgrowth in one of kidney was observed after slaughtering. The tissue was fixed and processed through paraffin embedding technique. Histopathological examination revealed a well demarcated area of growth showing the triphasic form of nephroblastoma with undifferentiated blastemal, stromal and epithelial elements. Distribution of collagen fibres infiltrated in the tumour parenchyma in form of bundles is demonstrated by Masson’s Trichrome stain. Further, sections were stained with modified Movat-Russell Pentachrome stain for the demonstration of other types of connective tissue fibres. But no other connective tissue components were demonstrated except collagen.
