The present study was carried out to know the occurrence and pathomorphology of different ovarian tumors in dogs. A total of 124 canine ovaries were screened for the presence of tumors based on gross and histopatholgy. The gross lesions ranged from slight enlargement of the ovaries to presence of lobulated, solid to cystic masses on the surface of ovary. On histological diagnosis, the ovarian tumours were classified as papillary cystadenoma, granulosa cell tumor, thecoma and dysgerminoma. Immunohistochemical studies for inhibin alpha revealed that sex - cord stromal tumors viz. granulosa cell tumors and thecoma showed cytoplasmic expression, while the epithelial and germ cell tumors showed negative expression.
