Abstract

The acaricidal effect of cypermethrin, deltamethrin and Zerokeet on application of their recommended and atoxic higher concentration (25% higher than the recommended dose) was evaluated in terms of temperature, pulse and respiration rate in tick infested dogs. All these physiological parameters were significantly accelerated with advancement of time-interval in most of the treatment groups. The maximum enhancement of all the parameters was recorded in dogs treated with recommended and atoxic high doses of deltamethrin followed by cypermethrin. The least affected physiological parameters were noted in the groups of dogs treated with Zerokeet at its both the concentration.
