The effect of different concentrations of propylene glycol (3, 5 and 7%) as a cryoprotective agent in freezing of Murrah buffalo bull semen was studied. Semen frozen in extender with 3% propylene glycol showed higher motility, live spermatozoa and the intact acrosomes and lower percentage of sperm abnormalities at various stages of freezing in comparison to 5 and 7% propylene glycol.
