Abstract

A study was undertaken of obstructive urolithiasis in cattle calves with ruptured bladder (GroupI) and those with intact bladder (Group II). Two therapeutic regimens, viz., percutaneous peritoneal catheterization and dialysis in cases with ruptured bladder and percutaneous intracystic cannulation and catheterization in cases with intact bladder together with litholytic and anti– inflammatory agents showed recovery rate of 66.66% with both therapeutic regimens. The findings may help in the clinical management of obstructive urolithiasis.
