The study was conducted on aorta of 12 buffalo fetuses of various age groups. The cryostat sections of 10–12 μm thickness were obtained at −20°C and were incubated for demonstration of phosphatases, oxidoreductases and esterases. All these enzymes showed negligible to weak reactions in aorta but increased enzymic activity was seen in advancing age of fetus.
