Abstract

The prevalemce of brucellosis was studied in 173 sheep and 227 goats. Particular data was documented from each animal in a questionnaire including the entries age, species, sex, etc. Serum samples were screened usingh RBPT and i-ELISA. The overall prevalence in sheep and goat based on RBPT and i-ELISA was found 30.75% and 2.25% respectively. The results through RBPT showed 59 positive cases in sheep and 64 in goats. Similarly through ELISA, 4 sheep and 5 goats were found seropositive. Prevalence of brucellosis analyzed by RBPT and i-ELISA was higher in goats then in sheep.
