Abstract

Total 50 cross bred cows with postpartum breeding period of more than 60 days were synchronized using different estrus synchronization protocols viz. plain CIDR, CIDR+PGF2α, Ovsynch and CIDR+Ovsynch. In the study, conception rates in cows in control, plain CIDR, CIDR+PGF2α, Ovsynch and CIDR+Ovsynch protocol groups including three cycles were 70, 40, 70, 60 and 70% respectively. The overall conception rate in cows including all five groups was found to be 62.00%.
