The paper describes clinical and pathological finding of layer birds, which were intoxicated with raw caster bean. Source of intoxication was a accidental incorporation of unprocessed castor bean through feed in mills. Out of 6000 layer birds more than 100 birds were died. The clinical signs are decreased feed intake, dull and depressed, drooping wing, Hemorrhagic enteritis, leathery egg and production drop. Pathology revealed heamorrhagic enteritis, proventricular haemorrhage, ooporitis, nephritis. Treatment included symptomatic and supportive therapy continued for two weeks after that birds were recovered.
