Peste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV) was investigatedby RT-PCR in 30 nasal swab samples of suspected sheep and goats. The minimum detection limit of RT-PCR was determined to be 4.9pg/ul. Out of the 30 nasal swabs, six nasal swabs were found to be positive for PPRV by nucleoprotein (N) gene-based RT-PCR.
