Abstract

Myelography was done in 13 dogs suffering from various spinal affections using iohexol as a contvast agent. Iohexol (300 mg I/mL) @ 0.45 mL/kg body wt. was suficient to producegood quality myelograms up to cauda equina in the cases, where there was no damage to spinal cord. In cases with partial compression there was partial impairment to theflow of theagent, whilecompleteobstruction to theflow indicated complete severenre of the spinal cord. There was no complication like seizures in any case, whilesubdural injection was encountered in one case.
