The present study was carried out on 88 dogs presented for treatment of chronic otitis externa. Out of 88 dogs, 74 (84.09%) were treated medically and remaining 14 by surgical treatment. Out of these 14, seven dogs were treated by Zepp's aural resection and the remaining 7 by vertical ear canal ablation. The various clinical signs of otitis externa recorded were head shaking, scratching, pain, odour, ear discharges and head tilt. Visual examination of ear canal revealed hyperplasia, thickening, ulceration, stenosis and calcification of ear canals in the 14 cases treated surgically.
