A 12-year-old male German shepherd dog was presented with a history of gradually losing the voice (Aphonia) for six weeks. Courses of different antibiotics, corticosteroids and NSAIDs had been tried with no benefit. Physical examination as well as lateral and VD radiographic views revealed no abnormalities. An MRI scan showed a peanut sized growth in the larynx, involving the vocal cords. One dose of vincrystine sulphate at 0.025 mg/kg was given IV, which was not repeated since the SGPT values increased beyond the normal range. Growth was excised using laparoscopic instruments by oral approach along with a part the vocal cords. Histopathology of the growth revealed it to be an Adenocarcinoma.
