A nine-month-old male pug was brought to the Small Animal Ophthalmology unit of Madras Veterinary College Hospital with a complaint of watering, discolouration and, reduction of vision in the left eye (OS) for the past one week. Detailed ophthalmic examination was carried out. Fluorescein dye test was performed and the dye was found to be retained revealing deep corneal ulcer. Preoperative blood values were within normal range. Preoperative preparation of the eye, general anaesthesia, surgical procedure and post-operative medication and outcome were discussed in detail.
