The study was conducted in Debradun district of Uttaranchal over a period of 7 months from June 2005 to January 2006. The stray dogs were caught for neuterization under artificial birth control programme. A total of 918 dogs (718 females and 200 males) were examined for reproductive diseases. Among the only 38 (4.139%) dogs showed pathological conditions. The common pathological conditions observed in these animals were venereal tumour 21(2.28%), mammary tumour 8 (1.11%), pyometra 7 (0.97%) and unilateral cryptorchidism 2 (1%). The incidence of venereal tumour was more in females 17 (2.36%) as compared to males 4 (2%). Among the diseased animals transmissible venereal tumour, mammary tumour, pymetra and unilateral cryptorchidism were 55.26%, 21.06%, 18.42% and 2.26%, respectively.
