A twelve-year-old, female horse belonging to DCP, CAR HQ was presented to college hospital with chronic purulent discharge from frog region (Thrush) in all four limbs. As per history, the condition was refractory for antibiotic treatment and on previous occasion one horse was euthanized due to similar condition. On physical examination left fore foot showed sloughing of frog exposing raw surface and other three feet showed different degrees of degeneration of frog with purulent, foul smelling discharge. Antibiotic sensitivity test of the discharge showed high resistance to all 20 tested antibiotics. Hematology revealed TLC 6500/cmm, N-41%, L-5%, M-5%, and E-1%, Hb 10g%. Cryosurgery with one minute freeze-thaw cycle was performed at weekly interval for six weeks along with daily wound dressing with Nebasulif powder. The lesions gradually improved and showed complete healing by the end of six weeks.
