Abstract

An 8-year-old crossbred buffalo bullock was presented with a complaint of dribbling of urine with discomfort during urination. On clinical examination bladder was found distended. The case was diagnosed as urolithiasis. Postscotal urethrotomy was performed under posterior epidural anaesthesia using 2% lignocaine HCI. After removing the urethrolith, polyethylene tube was passed into the urethra. Post-operatively, inj. Streptopenicillin (2.5 g), inj. Diclofenac 30 mL were administered IM for 5 days. There was uneventful recovery.
