A one-year-old female French Mastiff was presented with severe left limb carlpus valgus and animal was bearing weight on the first plalanx. Cranio-palmar and lateral radiographs of the left radius and ulna revealed overgrown and severely bent radius with retarded ulnar growth. The physis of both the bones were closed. Corrective osteotomy was performed on radius and an open angle wedge was removed from the area of maximum bend of the radius. Ulnar osteotomy was also performed and the radial cut ends were reduced and stabilized with a 12 hole DCP of 3.5 mm system in a dynamic compression mode. Postoperative radiographs revealed significant straightening of the radius and ulna. The animal started weight bearing on the paw and showed progressive correction of the deformity.
